Established in 1885 the Osteria-Enoteca Giorgione has always been distinguished by its passion for the authentic Venetian cooking as well as for the tradition of hospitality that characterises the city and its inhabitants.
The décor evokes the restaurant’s origins and history with a series of ex-votos, paintings offered to saints as a sign of gratitude and devotion, lining the walls and niches of the dining room; the works date to the late 19th century and early 20th century and belong to Luciano Pasotto’s private collection.

The cuisine uses only select fresh produce bought every morning at the Rialto market .
The menu offers authentic Venetian fish-based dishes given an original twist by the chef and served with vegetables from the lagoon island vegetable gardens.
The specialities offered by the Osteria Giorgione include classics like scampi and sarde in saor (fried sardines marinated in vinegar with onions and pine-nuts), schie con polenta (tiny shrimp with Venice’s cornmeal mush), mixed fried fish or seppie in nero (squid in ink).
As well as the traditional specialities the Giorgione also offers a wide range of dishes inspired by the chef’s creative fantasy, like the crab and vegetable cake or Riso alla rivierasca , the restaurant’s delicious signature dish prepared with vegetables and scampi.
If you’re not a fish lover the waiter can recommend a vegetarian dish or the meat-based menu.
